Founded in 2003 by Mary Gigliotti, a passionate beauty therapist and devoted mother to two beautiful daughters, Alexa and Bianca.

The Powder Room is a reflection of her nurturing spirit, dedication to excellence, and commitment to creating a warm, welcoming space where beauty and care come together.

With over 30 years of experience, Mary brings a wealth of knowledge and a deeply personal approach to every treatment. Her focus is on working closely with each client to deliver customised skin solutions that are as unique as you are, always with visible results in mind.

Mary’s journey began in Paddington, Sydney, where she trained as a beauty, nail, and massage therapist. After gaining hands-on experience at a prominent day spa on Oxford Street, she traveled to USA to further her training. There, she studied the science of treating inflammatory skin disorders and the complex process of rebuilding the skin’s natural defences, the foundation that still shapes her treatment philosophy today.

Mary went on to lead a high-end facial treatment clinic in a luxury day spa on Long Island, New York, before returning to Australia to open The Powder Room. Her dedication and client-focused approach earned her the Guinot Salon of the Year award for outstanding customer service and facial treatment satisfaction.
